Weight Loss Surgery Seminars Making th...e decision to undergo weight loss surgery is an education process best aided by medical professionals such as surgeons and physicians, dietitians, and counselors. The greatest chance for long term success is reinforced by a well-informed decision and the championship of others who support and encourage the goals being set. At the Minnesota Institute for Minimally Invasive Surgery (MIMIS), informational seminars are presented to provide information to individuals interested in weight loss surgery. Seminars are presented by a team of health care professionals, including surgeons. MIMIS Weight Loss Seminar Schedule Crosby: Heartwood Senior Living Community Conference Center, 500 Heartwood Drive. Crosby seminars are held the third Monday of every month at 6:00 p.m. November 21, 2011 December 19, 2011 January 16, 2012 February 20, 2012 March 19, 2012 April 16, 2012 May 21, 2012 June 11, 2012 (Please note that this is the second Monday of June.)
